PHUSICOS, meaning 'According to nature', in Greek φυσικός, will demonstrate how nature-inspired solutions reduce the risk of extreme weather events in rural mountain landscapes.The focus is on demonstrating the effectiveness of nature-based solutions (NBSs) and their ability to reduce the impacts from small, frequent events (extensive risks) in rural mountain landscapes.

CLEVER Cities

The city of Hamburg and a team of 33 other cities and organizations in Europe, South America and China launched the international European-funded CLEVER Cities project. Cities coordinate and lead the project and will use natural interventions, such as building new green spaces, to address social, economic and environmental problems. The cities will bring in local residents and businesses to collaboratively decide, design and build so-called 'nature-based solutions' in key districts affected by issues like high crime rates, social inequality, unemployment and child poverty.

URBINAT

URBiNAT | Urban Innovative and Inclusive Nature focuses on the regeneration and integration of deprived districts in urban development through innovative Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) – an Urban Inclusive Nature – ensuring sustainability and mobilising driving forces for social cohesion; specifically, on "public space" and on creation of new urban, social and nature relations with and between different neighbourhoods.

EdiCitNET

The systemic use of urban landscapes for food production is a major step towards more sustainable, liveable and healthier cities. EdiCitNet will leverage the substantial benefits that Edible City Solutions effect today at local level and catalyse their replication EU- and world-wide by launching a fully open and participatory network of cities, empowering their inhabitants a) to systematically explore the wealth and diversity of existing Edible City Solutions, and b) to adapt, plan and implement successfully proven Edible City Solutions in their specific urban context.
